Limestone Console Sink with a Carved Ribbon Band

A long console sink whose front and side aprons are cut with a continuous interlaced ribbon band, each loop drilled through at the centre so the carving throws a real shadow. The deck is worked as one plane with a shallow rectangular basin sunk into it, and a separate low limestone slab stands behind as a backsplash. The top edges have eroded away unevenly, leaving the stone raw and open. Two thick tapered piers carry the weight. Suited to master bathrooms, entry cloakrooms and architectural restoration work.
