Round Limestone Vessel Bowl with Carved Handles

A deep round bowl turned from a single piece of pale limestone, with two solid lugs left standing proud on opposite sides where the block was never cut away. The walls are thick, the outside faceted from the tooling, and the interior falls in a smooth cone to a centre drain. No tap holes are cut, so the spout is set into the wall above. Small, sculptural and unmistakably hand worked, it suits powder rooms, cloakrooms, dressing rooms and small guest bathrooms.
